SHUNT SOCKET INSULATING JOINT (PSJI)

Watertight box in cast aluminum is installed at the level of
each insulating joint, measuring 310x265x100 mm, mounted on a
2″ diameter galvanized steel support
Two cables 1×16 mm2 (internal) at the level of the legs, are
connected by crimp terminals and which are used to measure the
potential.
The other two 1x16mm2 cables (external) are soldered by
aluminothermic welding upstream and downstream of the insulating joint,
these two cables are used to connect the explosion-proof spark gap.
